'Coraline' Panel on Friday @ Comic-Con
Who was there: Screenwriter Henry Selick (Nightmare Before Christmas), Newbery Medal-winning author Neil Gaiman, lead animator and LAIKA CEO/President Travis Knight, producer Bill Mechanic (CEO of Pandemonium and producer of Dark Water & The New World), character fabrication supervisor Georgina Hayns (Corpse Bride), and Coraline voice talents Teri Hatcher (who plays the “other mother”) and Keith David (who plays the cat--Coraline’s reluctant guardian angel).

What did they talk about: Each castmember and creator of the stop-motion animation talked about the nature of their roles in the film and the creative process as well as the challenges behind making the animation.

Notable audience question to Neil Gaiman: Of all your books, which one would you like to see become a movie? Neil's Response: The Graveyard Book and American Gods.
Random Fact/Who Knew?: An audience member asked Henry Selick if he listens to any music. Henry responded with Kings of Leon, the Shins, and Miles Davis.
The Takeaway: Coraline fans! The film is available in a Blu-ray Hi-Def combo pack, 2-Disc Collector's Edition DVD and single disc DVD on July 21, 2009 . The 2-Disc Collector's Edition DVD features both the 2-D and 3-D versions of the film and four pairs of 3-D glasses, a digital copy of the movie, as well as an array of bonus features including filmmaker interviews and behind-the-scenes exclusives.
